We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) specializing in Accountancy and/or Economics to instruct senior secondary students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons, fostering a deep understanding of these subjects, and preparing students effectively for their board examinations and future academic pursuits. This role requires flexibility to accommodate part-time hours based on the school's needs.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Curriculum Planning and Delivery:</li><li>Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Accountancy and/or Economics as per the prescribed syllabus of CBSE Board.</li><li>Deliver engaging and effective lectures, utilizing a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking.</li><li>Ensure thorough coverage of all topics, concepts, and case studies relevant to the syllabus.</li></ul>Student Engagement and Support:<ul><li>Foster an interactive and participatory classroom environment, encouraging students to ask questions, discuss concepts, and apply their knowledge.</li><li>Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed, addressing their doubts and helping them overcome academic challenges.</li><li>Conduct regular doubt-clearing sessions and extra classes if required.</li></ul>Assessment and Evaluation:<ul><li>Design and administer regular assessments, including class tests, assignments, and mock examinations, to evaluate student understanding and progress.</li><li>Provide constructive and timely feedback on student performance, highlighting areas for improvement.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.</li></ul>Board Examination Preparation:<ul><li>Equip students with effective strategies and techniques for excelling in their final board examinations.</li><li>Familiarize students with examination patterns, marking schemes, and common pitfalls.</li></ul>Resource Management:<ul><li>Utilize and manage classroom resources effectively, including textbooks, supplementary materials, audio-visual aids, and relevant technological tools.</li><li>Recommend and integrate new resources to enhance learning.</li></ul>Parent Communication:<ul><li>Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, academic performance, and any concerns.</li><li>Participate in parent-teacher meetings as required.</li></ul>Collaboration:<ul><li>Collaborate with other faculty members and the academic coordinator to ensure seamless curriculum delivery and inter-disciplinary learning.</li><li>Contribute to the academic planning and development of the Commerce stream.</li></ul>Adherence to Policies: Adhere to the school's academic policies, administrative procedures, and code of conduct.Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Post Graduation (M.Com, MBA, M.A. Economics, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (Business Studies, Accountancy, or Economics) (essential).</li><li>Professional Training: B.Ed. / M.Ed. (Bachelor of Education / Master of Education) (essential).</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of teaching experience at the PGT level (Class XI and XII) in Accountancy and/or Economics in a recognized school.</li></ul>Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>Strong subject matter expertise in Business Studies, Accountancy, and Economics.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.</li><li>Ability to simplify complex concepts and make them relatable to students.</li><li>Effective classroom management skills.</li><li>Strong pedagogical skills and ability to employ diverse teaching methodologies.</li><li>Proficiency in designing and conducting effective assessments.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a part-time schedule efficiently.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.</li><li>Proficiency in using basic computer applications (MS Office, online learning platforms).</li><li>A genuine passion for teaching and student development.</li></ul>Salary:Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.Job Type: Part-timeAbility to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Surat, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>teaching: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Surat, Gujarat (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
