This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more, while working with cutting-edge technology like 3D scanners and digital radiography.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and materials following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.</li><li>Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as digital X-ray systems and 3D scanners to ensure accurate diagnosis.</li><li>Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy.</li><li>Support patients by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits.</li><li>Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation and records.</li><li>Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and assist with billing processes.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices.</li><li>Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, aseptic technique, and taking X-rays.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical imaging software is a plus.</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable along with experience supporting pediatric patients.</li><li>Ability to interpret dental terminology, medical terminology, and understand anatomy for accurate assistance during procedures.</li><li>Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; additional certifications in medical documentation or medical coding are advantageous.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team including dental reception duties and patient interactions.
