Medical Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist (Primary Clinical Role)We are a compassionate, patient-focused fertility clinic seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. This position is primarily clinical, with back-up support responsibilities at the Front Desk as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.Primary Responsibilities &ndash; Medical Assistant<ul><li>Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care, examinations, and procedures</li><li>Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical equipment and supplies</li><li>Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and medications</li><li>Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks within scope of practice</li><li>Coordinate laboratory testing, imaging, and referrals</li><li>Accurately document clinical information in the patients chart</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and clinic protocols</li></ul>Secondary Responsibilities &ndash; Front Desk Support (Back-Up)<ul><li>Greet patients and provide a warm, professional first point of contact</li><li>Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow when covering the desk</li><li>Verify patient information, collect insurance information as needed</li><li>Assist with check-in and check-out processes during coverage periods</li><li>Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to support daily operations</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred</li><li>Experience in fertility, IVF, OB/GYN, or women&rsquo;s health strongly preferred</li><li>Prior front desk or patient-facing administrative experience a plus</li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities</li><li>Compassionate, professional demeanor with sensitivity to patients&rsquo; fertility journeys</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>A supportive and collaborative team environment</li><li>Meaningful work supporting patients through their fertility care</li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits (based on experience)</li><li>Opportunities to grow within a specialized medical field</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>La Jolla, CA 92037 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>La Jolla, CA 92037: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
