May supervise others in the absence of the Nursing Manager.Essential Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform medical clinical &quot;hands on&quot; tasks and services to clients according to the policies and procedures developed by the Nursing Manager and authorized standing orders</li><li>Navigate the Immunization Schedule and be proficient with intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections in both pediatric and adult clients</li><li>Provide guidance, education, and counseling to clients regarding medical care, treatment, effects of medications, and disease processes</li><li>Develops, implements, reviews, maintains, and evaluates plans of care</li><li>Establish and maintain relationships with clients and fellow staff members</li><li>Perform weekly immunization clinics, both in-house and outlying areas</li><li>Case management services of family planning and tuberculosis clients, including communicable diseases</li><li>Perform HIV/STI testing and counseling, along with treatment and/or referral services</li><li>Assists in the quality assurance process</li><li>Participates and plans public health activities (fairs/expos, special immunization clinics, emergency preparedness drills)</li><li>Handles and stores vaccines</li><li>Conducts disease investigations</li><li>Maintain complete confidentiality and follow all HIPAA laws</li><li>Completes all training as required/directed</li><li>Assists clerical staff and other duties as needed/directed</li></ul>Minimum Job Requirements: <ul><li>Current Arizona RN license in good standing</li><li>Drivers License</li><li>Comply with the required immunizations of nursing staff</li><li>Annual TB skin testing or screening</li><li>CPR Certificate</li></ul>Required Knowledge, Skill &amp; Ability:<ul><li>Good general knowledge of the nursing theory and practice</li><li>Able to use initiative/judgement in unusual or emergency situations</li><li>Able to perform injections, finger-sticks, and phlebotomy competently and safely</li><li>Able to take direction and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing</li><li>Skilled in recognizing and identifying symptoms</li><li>Walk, bend, twist and turn, lift 40 lbs., stand 8 hours, and wear a respiratory mask more than one (1) hour</li><li>Ability to be deployed to remote areas of the county</li><li>Work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time</li><li>Must be proficient with vaccine management, storage, and handling</li><li>Weekend or overnight travel required</li></ul>Preferred Knowledge, Skill &amp; Ability:<ul><li>Previous public health experience</li><li>One year of past medical and/or surgical experience, and/or a working knowledge of pediatrics, gynecology, and infection control</li></ul>Supplemental Information<ul><li>Hourly Range: $28.17 - $40.80 (competitive salary based on qualifications)</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement, paid leave, and professional development opportunities.
