Whether working in a lively restaurant or an upscale fine dining setting, this position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food service skills and grow within the food industry.Duties<ul><li>Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression. </li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen. </li><li>Provide expert recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. </li><li>Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety. </li><li>Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit. </li><li>Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and give correct change. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and assisting with sanitation protocols in accordance with food handling regulations.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. </li><li>Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking. </li><li>Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously. </li><li>Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. </li><li>Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. </li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management. </li><li>Experience in serving at nightclubs or host/hostess roles adds valuable hospitality insights.
