In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure our customers&rsquo; equipment operates efficiently and reliably, helping them meet their operational goals with confidence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.Duties<ul><li>Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and technical manuals</li><li>Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements</li><li>Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as needed</li><li>Conduct inspections on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial or farm machinery to identify issues early and prevent breakdowns</li><li>Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical failures effectively</li><li>Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to customers</li><li>Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician with dealership or heavy equipment background preferred</li><li>Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks &amp; struts, and electrical components</li><li>Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is highly desirable</li><li>Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for diagnostics and repairs</li><li>Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients</li><li>Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently in various working conditions</li></ul>Join us at Lang Diesel where your skills will be valued as we keep our customers&rsquo; equipment running smoothly!
