Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure our customers’ equipment operates efficiently and reliably, helping them meet their operational goals with confidence. Duties

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and technical manuals
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements
Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as needed
Conduct inspections on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial or farm machinery to identify issues early and prevent breakdowns
Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical failures effectively
Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to customers
Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities

Qualifications

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician with dealership or heavy equipment background preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and electrical components
Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is highly desirable
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for diagnostics and repairs
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently in various working conditions
