The successful applicant will be responsible for managing criminal defense cases, providing legal counsel, and supporting the firm's litigation efforts.Duties<ul><li>Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials</li><li>Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to support case strategies</li><li>Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and memoranda with precision and clarity</li><li>Negotiate plea agreements and settlement terms on behalf of clients</li><li>Advise clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes related to criminal charges</li><li>Collaborate with investigators, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build strong defense cases</li><li>Maintain meticulous case files and documentation in accordance with legal standards</li><li>Travel to surrounding counties</li><li>Attorney-client visits with incarcerated clients</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar required</li><li>We invite recent graduates who are seeking to commence their careers in criminal defense to submit their applications</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Junction City, KS 66441
