Duties

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials
• Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to support case strategies
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and memoranda with precision and clarity
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlement terms on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes related to criminal charges
• Collaborate with investigators, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build strong defense cases
• Maintain meticulous case files and documentation in accordance with legal standards
• Travel to surrounding counties
• Attorney-client visits with incarcerated clients

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
