Our practice handles a wide range of criminal matters, including misdemeanors, felonies, probation violations, and post-conviction relief. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Criminal Defense Paralegal to support our attorneys and clients.Responsibilities<ul><li>Draft and file criminal pleadings, motions, notices, and correspondence</li><li>Manage case files from intake through disposition</li><li>Communicate with clients, courts, prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and expert witnesses</li><li>Obtain discovery, police reports, body-cam footage, and 911 recordings</li><li>Review and organize discovery and evidence for attorney review</li><li>Calendar hearings, deadlines, court dates, and statute-related timelines</li><li>Prepare subpoenas, witness lists, and trial binders</li><li>Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and client meetings</li><li>Maintain accurate case notes and billing records (if applicable)</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience</li><li>Prior experience in criminal defense strongly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of criminal procedure and court rules</li><li>Strong drafting, organizational, and time-management skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Professional communication skills and client-centered approach</li><li>Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion</li></ul>Pay: $49,536.13 - $59,656.41 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
