Essential ResponsibilitiesChild Development &amp; Instruction<ul><li>Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards.</li><li>Prepare children for kindergarten by developing foundational skills in:</li><li>Early literacy</li><li>Language and communication</li><li>Mathematics</li><li>Science and discovery</li><li>Social studies</li><li>Fine and gross motor development</li><li>Social-emotional learning</li><li>Create engaging learning centers and hands-on experiences that encourage exploration and creativity.</li><li>Observe, assess, and document children's growth and development.</li><li>Adapt activities to meet the unique needs and abilities of each child.</li></ul>Relationship Building<ul><li>Build positive, nurturing relationships with children that promote a sense of belonging and security.</li><li>Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's progress, milestones, and needs.</li><li>Foster a classroom culture of kindness, respect, acceptance, and cooperation.</li><li>Support children through challenges using positive guidance and relationship-based discipline practices.</li></ul>Classroom Management<ul><li>Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and center policies.</li><li>Supervise children at all times and maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios.</li><li>Keep accurate attendance, incident reports, and required documentation.</li></ul>Team Collaboration<ul><li>Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff.</li><li>Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.</li><li>Support center-wide events, family engagement activities, and special programs.</li></ul>Faith Integration<ul><li>Model Christian character through words and actions.</li><li>Support The Learning Tree's mission of proclaiming and demonstrating the reality and goodness of God's kingdom through high-quality childcare.</li><li>Incorporate age-appropriate biblical values such as kindness, gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion into daily interactions.</li></ul>Qualifications Required<ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li><li>Experience working with preschool-aged children.</li><li>Ability to pass all required background checks.</li><li>Ability to meet Ohio childcare licensing requirements.</li><li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Drivers license or reliable transportation</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.</li><li>Previous preschool or kindergarten readiness teaching experience.</li><li>Knowledge of Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards.</li><li>Experience implementing developmentally appropriate practices and play-based learning.</li></ul>Pay: $11.30 - $14.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
