<div>JOB Lee County is looking for a motivated Technician to join our team and help keep our Transit fleet running safely and reliably. In this role, you&rsquo;ll perform preventive maintenance, complete essential repairs, and support diagnostic work alongside experienced senior technicians. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in accuracy and efficiency, and are eager to grow your mechanical skill set, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES <b>What You'll Do</b><br>
<ul><li>
Perform regular maintenance on transit vehicles, including inspections, changing fluids and filters, lubricating parts, and rotating tires.</li><li>
Check steering, suspension, and brake systems to make sure they are working safely.</li><li>
Replace basic parts like belts, hoses, batteries, alternators, starters, water pumps, and cooling system parts.</li><li>
Use diagnostic tools to read fault codes and perform simple electrical tests.</li><li>
Help senior technicians find and fix problems with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, and multiplex systems.</li><li>
Fill out work orders correctly, including labor time, parts used, and repairs done.</li><li>
Report any other problems or needed repairs to a supervisor.</li><li>
Understand basic gasoline and diesel engine functions, air brake systems, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION <b>Work Schedule:</b> Four (4) shifts weekly, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM<div><b><br>
