Agricultural Missions, Inc. (AMI) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage the organization&rsquo;s financial systems and monthly accounting processes. This role is critical as AMI transitions from a combination of external accounting support and internal bookkeeping to a streamlined, in-house QuickBooks Online system.The Bookkeeper will take full ownership of maintaining accurate, audit-ready financial records and ensuring consistent, reliable reporting to support organizational decision-making, grant compliance, and long-term sustainability.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage and maintain all financial records in QuickBooks Online</li><li>Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis</li><li>Accurately categorize transactions and maintain an organized chart of accounts</li><li>Generate monthly financial reports, including Profit &amp; Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements</li><li>Support budget tracking, forecasting, and expense monitoring</li><li>Prepare financial documentation for grant reporting, audits, and compliance requirements</li><li>Work closely with the Executive Director on financial oversight and planning</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and workflows</li></ul>Transition &amp; Systems Setup:<ul><li>Participate in a structured onboarding and knowledge transfer from the current bookkeeper (Doris)</li><li>Support the transition away from an external accounting firm into a fully internal QuickBooks Online system</li><li>Clean up, organize, and standardize financial records to ensure long-term efficiency and audit readiness</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Demonstrated, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)</li><li>Experience managing bookkeeping for nonprofit organizations (strongly preferred)</li><li>Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines</li><li>Comfort working in a remote, mission-driven environment</li></ul>This is an ideal role for a bookkeeper who enjoys building clean systems, creating order out of complexity, and supporting a growing nonprofit with meaningful impact.Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid training</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
