Overview Our friendly and growing dental office is looking for a Front Desk Assistant with Dental Assistant (DA) experience who is comfortable supporting both the front office and back office when needed.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and working closely with a supportive team.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft</li><li>Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups to optimize daily patient flow</li><li>Verify patient insurance details and process medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Assist with medical imaging procedures including X-ray and documentation, ensuring proper infection control and aseptic techniques</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records, update patient histories, and handle medical coding for billing purposes</li><li>Support clinical staff with chairside assisting during procedures like prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatric dentistry, including vital signs measurement and maintaining sterile environments</li><li>Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating with insurance providers</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols</li><li>Experience with dental assisting tasks including chairside support, X-ray procedures, and aseptic techniques</li><li>Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance to ensure patient privacy</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, fostering a positive experience</li><li>Knowledge of dental specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics enhances your versatility in supporting diverse procedures</li><li>Understanding of medical imaging technology including 3D scanners and X-ray equipment is a plus</li><li>Qualifications:</li><li>Dental Assistant experience preferred</li><li>Front desk or dental office experience is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures</li><li>Positive attitude and team-player mindset</li><li>What We Offer:</li><li>Friendly and supportive work environment</li><li>Competitive pay (based on experience)</li><li>Opportunity to grow within the practice</li><li>Full-time / Part-time options availableThis paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their career in dental healthcare.
