</div><p>The purpose of this classification is to be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and disposal of refuse and recyclable materials within the community through skilled vehicle operation to maintain community cleanliness and support environmental sustainability initiatives.</p>

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</b></h2>

<div></div><div><ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent<br>
</li><li>
Two (2) years of commercial driving experience operating heavy equipment (rear loader, automatic side loader, GNC, mini-loader, roll-off dumpster, and knuckle boom experience preferred)</li></ul>
</div></div></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b></h2>

<div></div><div><ul><li>Operates various trucks equipped with an on-board computer system in the collection of residential refuse, recycling, and yard waste or the collection of commercial refuse and recycling materials on an assigned route
</li><li>Ensure that collections are made as required by the assigned schedule</li><li>
Conducts pre-trip and post trip inspections of vehicles and equipment by visually and electronically checking for fuel, oil, grease, water, filter, tires, and overall general condition of equipment per safety requirements</li><li>
Completes route sheets, notices, and service requests using the on-board routing system</li><li>
May oversee an assigned work crew and ensure that they are following safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment</li><li>
Performs related work as assigned</li></ul>

<div></div><div><ul><li>Assist in administering employee benefit programs, including counseling employees on benefit options, maintaining accurate benefit records, and providing benefits orientation</li><li>
Investigate and resolve complex or non-routine benefit issues such as coverage denials, termination discrepancies, and eligibility questions</li><li>
Manage benefit enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life events in HRIS systems and carrier platforms (medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, etc.)</li><li>
Run weekly interface files, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues to ensure accurate and timely data flow between internal HR systems and external vendors</li><li>
Support the planning, communication, and execution of annual Open Enrollment and ongoing enrollment activities</li><li>
Serve as a liaison between employees and third-party benefit vendors, clearly communicating coverage details, eligibility criteria, and program requirements</li><li>
Maintain current knowledge of benefit plans, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and program offerings</li><li>
Assist with HR special projects, including the development of Excel reports, PowerPoint presentations, forms, letters, memos, and other documentation</li><li>
Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies with carriers or internal records</li><li>
Serve as the backup to the HR Manager during their absence, supporting decision-making, communication, and maintaining operational continuity across HR functions</li><li>
Perform related work as assigned</li></ul>
