OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic Summer Camp Activity Teacher to supervise children and guide them through daily camp activities. All lesson plans and materials are prepared in advance&mdash;this role focuses on leading activities, assisting campers, and maintaining a safe, positive environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, can follow structured activity plans, and helps create a fun and engaging camp experience.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervise campers and ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times.</li><li>Follow the provided daily activity plans and guide campers through each activity.</li><li>Help children understand instructions and assist them with completing projects or games.</li><li>Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behavior among campers.</li><li>Provide basic classroom and activity management during camp sessions.</li><li>Monitor campers during transitions, breaks, and group activities.</li><li>Maintain organization of activity materials and clean up after each session.</li><li>Communicate with camp leadership about any issues, concerns, or camper needs.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in educational settings, daycare, camp programs, tutoring, or childcare roles</li><li>Ability to follow structured activity plans and instructions.</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices</li><li>Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and positive learning environment</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)</li><li>Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members</li><li>Passion for working with kids and fostering their growth through fun and educational experiences</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours during the summer season in an active outdoor or indoor setting</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Background in education, childcare, recreation, or youth programs.</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Indoor and outdoor camp settings.</li><li>Active role that may involve standing, walking, and assisting children during activities.</li></ul>This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to make a difference in children's lives while developing their leadership skills.
