About Us: Little Pandas Play Cafe is a unique space where kids can play, and parents can unwind and connect. We are committed to creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for families. We are looking for passionate, energetic, and friendly individuals who are eager to learn and grow with us.Position Overview: As a Team Member at Little Pandas Play Cafe, you will wear many hats, ensuring that our cafe runs smoothly and that our guests have a memorable experience. This is a dynamic role perfect for someone who enjoys working with families and children, has excellent customer service skills, and is willing to help wherever needed.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Barista Duties:</li><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, handling cafe food, and other beverages.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings to make recommendations to customers.</li><li>Operate and maintain cafe equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.</li><li>Play Area Maintenance:</li><li>Regularly reset and sanitize the play area to maintain a clean and safe environment.</li><li>Ensure that all toys and equipment are in good condition and promptly report any issues.</li><li>Bathroom Upkeep:</li><li>Check bathrooms regularly to ensure cleanliness and stock necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, diaper pail cleanliness etc.).</li><li>Sanitize surfaces and handle minor maintenance tasks as needed.</li><li>Party/Event Hosting:</li><li>Host and organize birthday parties and special events, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for guests.</li><li>Set up party areas, assist with activities, and provide excellent customer service to party hosts and guests.</li><li>Guest Check-In:</li><li>Greet guests as they arrive and check them in, ensuring a friendly and efficient process.</li><li>Confirm that all guests have signed the required waiver and provide information about our cafe and offerings.</li><li>Rule Enforcement:</li><li>Ensure all adults fill out waivers for their children.</li><li>Ensure that all children wear grip socks for safety while playing in the designated areas.</li><li>Follow no shoe policy in the play area.</li><li>Offer and sell grip socks if guests do not have their own.</li><li>Social Media Content Creation:</li><li>Capture engaging photos and videos of the play area, events, and guests (with permission) for our social media channels.</li><li>Collaborate with the team to generate content ideas that highlight the fun and family-friendly atmosphere of Little Pandas Play Cafe.</li><li>Opening and Closing Procedures:</li><li>Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the cafe in the morning and securing it at night.</li><li>Ensure that all tasks on the opening/closing checklist are completed.</li><li>Additional Requirements:</li><li>Complete our Barista training from our coffee roasters.</li><li>Obtain a food handlers license.</li><li>Complete a CPR certification.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Passion for working with children and families.</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities with a positive attitude.</li><li>Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.</li><li>Previous experience in a cafe or customer service role is a plus but not required.</li><li>Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.</li></ul>Why Join Us?<ul><li>Be part of a friendly and supportive team.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and learning within the business.</li><li>Play a key role in creating a positive experience for families.</li><li>Receive tips on top of your hourly wage.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, SeasonalPay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>Work Location: In person
