ROLE I - Play Cafe Host + Barista

Position Overview: As a Team Member at Little Pandas Play Cafe, you will wear many hats, ensuring that our cafe runs smoothly and that our guests have a memorable experience. This is a dynamic role perfect for someone who enjoys working with families and children, has excellent customer service skills, and is willing to help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Barista Duties:
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, handling cafe food, and other beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings to make recommendations to customers.
• Operate and maintain cafe equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
• Play Area Maintenance:
• Regularly reset and sanitize the play area to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Ensure that all toys and equipment are in good condition and promptly report any issues.
• Bathroom Upkeep:
• Check bathrooms regularly to ensure cleanliness and stock necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, diaper pail cleanliness etc.).
• Sanitize surfaces and handle minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Party/Event Hosting:
• Host and organize birthday parties and special events, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for guests.
• Set up party areas, assist with activities, and provide excellent customer service to party hosts and guests.
• Guest Check-In:
• Greet guests as they arrive and check them in, ensuring a friendly and efficient process.
• Confirm that all guests have signed the required waiver and provide information about our cafe and offerings.
• Rule Enforcement:
• Ensure all adults fill out waivers for their children.
• Ensure that all children wear grip socks for safety while playing in the designated areas.
• Follow no shoe policy in the play area.
• Offer and sell grip socks if guests do not have their own.
• Social Media Content Creation:
• Capture engaging photos and videos of the play area, events, and guests (with permission) for our social media channels.
• Collaborate with the team to generate content ideas that highlight the fun and family-friendly atmosphere of Little Pandas Play Cafe.
• Opening and Closing Procedures:
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the cafe in the morning and securing it at night.
• Ensure that all tasks on the opening/closing checklist are completed.
• Additional Requirements:
• Complete our Barista training from our coffee roasters.
• Obtain a food handlers license.
• Complete a CPR certification.

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with children and families.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Previous experience in a cafe or customer service role is a plus but not required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
