The GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Daycare Provider/ Pre School Lead plays a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children aged 3 to 5 years old. They create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes young learners&rsquo; social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Curriculum Implementation:</li><li>Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities based on the GSRP guidelines to support children's learning and development.</li><li>Incorporate play-based learning strategies to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and independence.</li><li>Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring:</li><li>Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development and progress using observation, documentation, and assessment tools.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues and families to create individualized learning plans for children with diverse needs.</li><li>Child Health and Safety:</li><li>Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.</li><li>Adhere to health and safety regulations, including administering first aid when necessary and following proper hygiene practices.</li><li>Family Engagement:</li><li>Establish positive relationships with families through regular communication, parent meetings, and involvement in children's activities.</li><li>Provide resources and support to families to enhance their understanding of child development and promote continuity between home and daycare.</li><li>Professional Development:</li><li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and GSRP guidelines.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to reflect on teaching practices and improve program quality.</li></ul>Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred). OR A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement<ul><li>Experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting.</li><li>Knowledge of early childhood development principles and GSRP curriculum guidelines.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues.</li><li>Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.</li><li>CPR and First Aid certification</li><li>DHS Clearance and Background Check (fingerprints)</li><li>TB testing required</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>8-hour shift Monday-Friday (Summer Schedule may vary)</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and families</li><li>Holidays off!</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hourExpected hours: 36 &ndash; 40 per weekWork Location: In person
