Live.Grow.Share1966 Garden Ave, Eugene OregonJob opening: Mechanics Program Peer Support Specialist [Part Time]Role and Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide emotional support, case management and skill building to individuals enrolled in treatment services under a peer support model.</li><li>Learn policies, procedures, and program structure for the Mechanics Program.</li><li>Work with participants within the Mechanics Program structure</li><li>Teach mechanic skills appropriate to the project or lesson at hand</li><li>Supervise and provide support to participants practicing skills</li><li>Attend at least one peer cohort per month</li><li>Attend clinical supervision at least once per month (TBD by clinical supervisor)</li><li>Attend all staff meetings/trainings</li><li>Learn and use Microsoft Outlook and Teams</li><li>Schedule all client appointments in Kipu</li><li>Schedule all work activities (outside of client appointments, notes, and general admin) in Outlook</li><li>Clock in and out through Gusto</li><li>Use Teams approval system for new requests (projects, groups, programs, purchases, etc)</li><li>Use established forms and excel sheets to track progress in projects</li><li>Enter all client contact notes into Kipu within 3 business days</li><li>Work with clinical supervisor on language to use in notes to support treatment goals</li></ul>Pay: $25/hour (part time: 10 hour minimum)<ul><li>Part time work = at least 10 billable client hours per week</li><li>Full time work = averaging 20 billable client hours per week</li><li>After 3 months of consistency at 20 billable hours, this position is eligible for salary and benefits</li></ul>Qualifications and Education Requirements-Must have up to date Peer support certification-must have lived experience &amp; recovery in mental health and/or substance use disorder- Must have proven knowledge &amp; skills around the diagnosis, repair &amp; Maintenance of multiple types of motors-must be able to work well with others, take direction, and uphold a therapeutic environment for participants(1) Shall meet the requirements in OAR 410-180-0300 to 0380 for certification and continuing education.&#8239;(a) A Peer Support Specialist and Peer Wellness Specialist shall be:&#8239;(A) A self-identified individual currently or formerly receiving mental health or substance use services;&#8239;(B) A self-identified individual in recovery from a substance use disorder who meets the abstinence requirements for recovering staff in substance use disorders treatment and recovery programs&#8239;(C) A self-identified individual in recovery from problem gambling; or&#8239;(D) A person who has experience parenting a child who:&#8239;(i) Is a current or former recipient of mental health or substance use treatment; or&#8239;(ii) Is facing or has faced difficulties in accessing education and health and wellness services due to a mental health or behavioral health barrier.&#8239;(b) A Peer Support Specialist and Peer Wellness Specialist shall demonstrate:&#8239;(A) The ability to support others in their recovery or resiliency;&#8239;(B) Personal life experience and tools of self-directed recovery and resiliency; and&#8239;(C) Demonstrate cultural responsiveness and effective communication.Job Type: Part-timePay: From $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 per weekPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyAbility to Commute:<ul><li>Eugene, OR 97403 (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Eugene, OR 97403: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Willingness to travel:<ul><li>25% (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
