 Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, baking and mixing of various food items.
 </li>
 <li>
 Operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots pans, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff following dietary sanitary and safety guidelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform telephone, clerical, stocking and inventory duties as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate ability to function successfully in a team-oriented environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain confidentiality of all work information.

 Job Summary
 
 
 
 The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and maintaining clinic schedule and workflow for specialty providers per practice guidelines. Determines the purpose of appointment and schedules or directs patient to appropriate department. Responds to and coordinates incoming referrals in collaboration with nursing and provider staff. Prepares patient records for scheduled appointments allowing productive patient appointments. Answers and appropriately triages incoming department phone calls. Communicates messages effectively to nursing and provider staff using electronic medical record. Under general supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care, clinical and clerical duties. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patient and family.

 Authorizes drug refills as directed by physicians or standing orders.

 Arranges for patient testing as needed.

 Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials.
