<p>The Urgent Care Clinical Coordinator assists the Emergency Services Director and Urgent Care Medical Director in providing leadership and assuring smooth day-to-day department operations and optimal patient experience.</p>

<p><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<div><ul><li>Supports and models behaviors consistent with Livingston HealthCare&rsquo;s Standards of Excellence.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists Emergency Services Director with providing leadership and motivation to Urgent Care staff. Works to optimize workflows, and improve satisfaction for patients, providers, and staff.
</li></ul><ul><li>Supports the Emergency Services Director by providing input and support with the maintenance and development of guidelines, procedures, policies and required reporting.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Works with department director and medical director to facilitate trainings, and other education opportunities to ensure best practices are being utilized.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists department director with staff scheduling and timecards.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with staff rounding and employee engagement activities.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with Clarity reports in follow-up and opportunities for education and improvement.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with the yearly employee evaluation process, gathering input from other staff and providers.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists department director in providing efficient communication and real time daily feedback to Urgent Care staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with chart reviews and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participates in departmental projects and performance improvement initiatives.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Develops proficient working knowledge of Cerner and assists in training staff assuring consistency, compliance, and evolution of new workflows within the EHR (Cerner).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains and displays an appropriate degree of expertise. Acts as a resource for providers, staff, patients, and families.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Bases decisions and actions on ethical principles and fosters a non-discriminatory, positive climate in which are is delivered in a manner sensitive to sociocultural diversity.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with interviewing, onboarding, training, development, and retention of staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department and organization.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Contributes to the Urgent Care Committee agenda and action items as appropriate.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Works one scheduled Medical Assistant shift per week.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with staffing as patient volume necessitates.</li></ul>
</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></h2>
<div><ul><li>Attends all staff meetings and relevant organizational meetings unless prior excused.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attends all mandatory in-service classes.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Completes all annual related educational competencies.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Current knowledge of healthcare environmental trends.</li></ul>
</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>QUALIFICATIONS (Required):</b></h2>
<div><ul><li>Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to remain calm and work collaboratively in stressful situations.
</li></ul><ul><li>Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
</li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.
