 Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for maintaining the accounts payable portion of the information system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that all invoices are matched and approved for payment according to policy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for the timely payment of all invoices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process all accounts payable checks and prepare for distribution.
 </li>
 <li>
 File all invoices and documentation
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain all check registers for accounts payable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all invoices are recorded in the correct month prior to closing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with producing 1099&rsquo;s for all contract vendors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare all required forms for Federal and State agencies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reconcile vendor statements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in developing policy and procedures.

 QUALIFICATIONS (Required)

 High school diploma or GED
 </li>
 <li>
 Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
 </li>
 <li>
 Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Computer skills including Excel and Word.
 </li>

 High attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in high volume department with speed and accuracy
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work with frequent interruptions

 Job Summary
 
 
 
 The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and maintaining clinic schedule and workflow for specialty providers per practice guidelines. Determines the purpose of appointment and schedules or directs patient to appropriate department. Responds to and coordinates incoming referrals in collaboration with nursing and provider staff. Prepares patient records for scheduled appointments allowing productive patient appointments. Answers and appropriately triages incoming department phone calls. Communicates messages effectively to nursing and provider staff using electronic medical record. Under general supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care, clinical and clerical duties. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patient and family.

 Obtains and records patients&rsquo; weight, blood pressure, pulse, height and other vital signs.

 Obtains and records patients&rsquo; reason for visit.
 </li>

 Authorizes drug refills as directed by physicians or standing orders.

 Arranges for patient testing as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials.

 Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls appropriately.

 Assists providers and nursing staff with clerical needs.

 QUALIFICATIONS (Required)

 High School Diploma or its equivalent.

 Current CPR certification.
 </li>

 Ability to treat all information as confidential.

 Previous work experience with specialty clinic/hospital/multi-department scheduling

 Additional Desirable Qualifications

 Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Six (6) months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
 </li>

 Detail oriented.
