If you&rsquo;re compassionate, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a growing clinic, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you!Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures</li><li>Safely restrain animals for exams, diagnostics, and treatments</li><li>Collect and prepare lab samples (blood, urine, fecal)</li><li>Perform or assist with radiographs</li><li>Monitor patients during treatment and hospitalization</li><li>Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas</li><li>Administer medications and treatments as directed</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and documentation</li><li>Communicate clearly with team members and support client care</li><li>Assist with cleaning, stocking, and overall clinic organization</li><li>Support a fast-paced urgent care workflow with flexibility and efficiency</li></ul>Skills As an Urgent Care Technician/ Assistant, you will:<ul><li>Perform a Phlebotomy, intravenous catheter placements, laboratory testing, among other important technical skills</li><li>Monitoring sedated and anesthetized patients</li><li>Triage urgent care cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.</li><li>Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.</li><li>Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.</li><li>Properly calculate medical math and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.</li><li>Have patience and empathy to address client concerns and learning team members.</li><li>Be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner</li><li>Accurately record controlled drugs</li><li>Have a knowledge of common veterinary drugs, their uses, side effects and dosages</li><li>Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment</li></ul>Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hourWork Location: In person
