Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist/Programmer and take charge of precision machining operations that drive innovation and quality. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in CNC programming, machining, and blueprint reading to produce high-precision components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to manufacturing solutions that make a difference.Duties<ul><li>Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment using CAM software and CAD models.</li><li>Set up CNC machines including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration for each job.</li><li>Interpret complex blueprints, GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce precise parts.</li><li>Operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling, or machine calibration.</li><li>Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in machining operations.</li><li>Assist in assembly processes when necessary, using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication techniques.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Programmer with hands-on knowledge of CNC lathe and milling machine operation.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&amp;T specifications, and engineering documents accurately.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding.</li><li>Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).</li><li>Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds-and-speeds adjustments, and tolerances.</li><li>Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.</li><li>Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and other shop equipment safely.</li><li>Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, fixture design, and material properties relevant to machining plastics or metals is advantageous.
