If this sounds like you, submit your application today!Duties<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners, and ensuring all supplies are stocked and organized.</li><li>Take dental radiographs (X-ray imaging), ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.</li><li>Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) Dentrix to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical history.</li><li>Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.</li><li>Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and dental terminology to foster understanding and compliance.</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties by scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with familiarity in medical terminology, and dental assisting procedures.</li><li>Hands-on knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and medical imaging procedures.</li><li>Skilled in operating dental software systems including Dentrix, for managing medical records and documentation accurately.</li><li>Certification in X-ray safety and proficiency in taking radiographs; additional certifications in endodontics or prosthodontics are advantageous.</li><li>Nitrous Monitoring Certification</li><li>AHA BLS Certification</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport; experience with 3D scanners is a bonus Cord packing, Invisalign and whitening.
