As we continue to scale, we're looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in driving our financial strategy forward. About the Role As Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for preparing and presenting accurate financial reports to senior leadership, offering strategic insights that shape key business decisions. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that financial processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our growth plans. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including budgets and forecasts </li></ul> <ul> <li>Prepare monthly compliance certificates and other MI as needed for funding agreements </li></ul> <ul> <li>Facilitation of daily cash sweeps between entities to ensure compliance with various funding agreements </li></ul> <ul> <li>Present financial performance insights to senior stakeholders to inform strategic decisions </li></ul> <ul> <li>Analyse costs and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure </li></ul> <ul> <li>Support business initiatives by sourcing finance for projects </li></ul> <ul> <li>Offer financial advice on business plans, risks, and investments </li></ul> <ul> <li>Improve and oversee financial systems, controls, and reporting procedures </li></ul> <ul> <li>Monitor income and expenditure, ensuring budget adherence </li></ul> <ul> <li>Supervise and support accounting technicians with day-to-day tasks </li></ul> <ul> <li>Translate complex financial data for non-finance colleagues across the business </li></ul> <ul> <li>Assess and manage financial risks in line with regulatory and business standards </li></ul> About You We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. You should be confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Requirements Qualifications & Experience <ul> <li>ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified </li></ul> <ul> <li>Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting </li></ul> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial best practices </li></ul> <ul> <li>Experience working in financial services or an FCA-regulated environment (preferred) </li></ul> <ul> <li>Confidence in reading legal contracts and understanding of compliance mechanism </li></ul> <ul> <li>Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Macros) </li></ul> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li></ul> <ul> <li>High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines </li></ul>
