Location: Lumen Salon Georgetown, Washington, DCFull-Time | 40 Hours/Week (Hybrid: Part Virtual / Part In-Person)ABOUT LUMEN SALONLumen Salon is a recognized luxury boutique salon in the heart of Georgetown, DC known for West Coast-inspired color, premium hair extensions, and a curated client experience that's elevated, warm, and unforgettable.We're seeking a full-time Marketing &amp; Operations Manager to bring our brand to life across all platforms, foster client relationships, and keep salon systems running at peak performance.WHO YOU ARE:<ul><li>A self-starting creative who thrives on planning, executing, great at making lists, thinking ahead, goal setting, and making systems.</li><li>Obsessed with social trends, content creation, and digital storytelling.</li><li>Able to lead with initiative, anticipate needs, and bring fresh ideas.</li><li>Equally comfortable behind a camera, behind a spreadsheet, or behind the front desk.</li><li>Confident managing operations, communicating with clients, and keeping the team flowing.</li><li>Excited to be part of a luxury brand that is redefining what a salon experience feels like.</li><li>Your Core Responsibilities SOCIAL MEDIA, CONTENT, CLIENT RELATIONS, BUSINESS OPERATIONS.</li></ul>STRATEGY:<ul><li>Create and manage a 6-month social media and marketing calendar across: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Facebook.</li><li>Film, edit, and post engaging Reels, behind-the-scenes videos, trends, and stylist features.</li><li>Stay on top of industry trends and get the team involved in content.</li><li>Design and send email twice weekly newsletters (via Flodesk or similar) featuring salon news, product promos, birthdays, and pro tips.</li><li>Track analytics weekly and adjust content accordingly</li></ul>CLIENT EXPERIENCE &amp; COMMUNICATION:<ul><li>Respond to new inquiries via text, DM's and email using polished, upbeat scripts, (already written.)</li><li>Book new clients and deliver a luxury onboarding experience that reflects the Lumen vibe. (already written)</li><li>Manage salon birthdays, anniversaries, and seasonal client engagement campaigns.</li><li>Build lasting connections and foster strong client relationships.</li><li>Help stylists shine by celebrating client transformations and showcasing their work online.</li></ul>OPERATIONS &amp; BACK-END SYSTEMS:<ul><li>Oversee ordering and inventory tracking (color, backbar, retail)</li><li>Maintain accurate records of product sales and usage.</li><li>Prepare biweekly reports for the owner, including:</li><li>Client volume (new and returning),</li><li>Booking flow and inquiry follow-up</li><li>Retail sales and stylist performance</li><li>Social stats and growth insights</li><li>Opportunities to improve flow and efficiency.</li><li>Tailor salon marketing strategy based on client data and trends</li></ul>LOGISTICS:<ul><li>Full-Time | 40 hours/week</li><li>Hybrid role: In-Salon: 3-4 days/week (client onboarding, filming content, inventory, team meetings, front desk checking out of clientele)</li><li>Virtual: 2-3 days/week (social media, email marketing, reporting, client communication) -</li><li>Flexible work hours with scheduled weekly team check-ins</li></ul>IDEAL EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Experience in a luxury service, beauty, or lifestyle brand.</li><li>How to speak to luxury clientele</li><li>Fluent in Instagram Reels, TikTok, Pinterest, Canva, Flodesk, and CapCut</li><li>Organized and highly communicative</li><li>Strong writing skills and visual eye</li><li>Experience with Vagaro (or willing to learn)</li><li>Business management or executive assistant</li><li>Bonus: background in content creation, social media management, or salon/spa operations</li></ul>COMPENSATION &amp; PERKS:<ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience</li><li>Bonus opportunities tied to growth and engagement metrics</li><li>Employee discounts on services + products</li><li>Career development opportunities within the Lumen brand</li><li>A chance to work with an award-winning, highly respected salon team</li></ul>This role is key to our next chapter&mdash;bringing vision, structure, and creativity to everything we do.
