ABOUT LUMEN SALON
Lumen Salon is a recognized luxury boutique salon in the heart of Georgetown, DC known for West Coast-inspired color, premium hair extensions, and a curated client experience that's elevated, warm, and unforgettable.
We're seeking a full-time Marketing & Operations Manager to bring our brand to life across all platforms, foster client relationships, and keep salon systems running at peak performance.

- Your Core Responsibilities SOCIAL MEDIA, CONTENT, CLIENT RELATIONS, BUSINESS OPERATIONS.
STRATEGY:
- Create and manage a 6-month social media and marketing calendar across: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Facebook.
- Film, edit, and post engaging Reels, behind-the-scenes videos, trends, and stylist features.
- Stay on top of industry trends and get the team involved in content.
- Design and send email twice weekly newsletters (via Flodesk or similar) featuring salon news, product promos, birthdays, and pro tips.
- Track analytics weekly and adjust content accordingly
CLIENT EXPERIENCE & COMMUNICATION:
- Respond to new inquiries via text, DM's and email using polished, upbeat scripts, (already written.)
- Book new clients and deliver a luxury onboarding experience that reflects the Lumen vibe. (already written)
- Manage salon birthdays, anniversaries, and seasonal client engagement campaigns.
- Build lasting connections and foster strong client relationships.
- Help stylists shine by celebrating client transformations and showcasing their work online.
OPERATIONS & BACK-END SYSTEMS:
- Oversee ordering and inventory tracking (color, backbar, retail)
- Maintain accurate records of product sales and usage.
- Prepare biweekly reports for the owner, including:
- Client volume (new and returning),
- Booking flow and inquiry follow-up
- Retail sales and stylist performance
- Social stats and growth insights
- Opportunities to improve flow and efficiency.
- Tailor salon marketing strategy based on client data and trends
LOGISTICS:
- Full-Time | 40 hours/week
- Hybrid role: In-Salon: 3-4 days/week (client onboarding, filming content, inventory, team meetings, front desk checking out of clientele)
- Virtual: 2-3 days/week (social media, email marketing, reporting, client communication) -
- Flexible work hours with scheduled weekly team check-ins
IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in a luxury service, beauty, or lifestyle brand.
- How to speak to luxury clientele
- Fluent in Instagram Reels, TikTok, Pinterest, Canva, Flodesk, and CapCut
- Organized and highly communicative
- Strong writing skills and visual eye
- Experience with Vagaro (or willing to learn)
- Business management or executive assistant
- Bonus: background in content creation, social media management, or salon/spa operations
