If you enjoy variety, responsibility, and hands-on problem solving &mdash; keep reading.Position OverviewThe Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining commercial laundry equipment at customer locations.This role also includes shop support duties such as loading/unloading equipment, cleaning work areas, organizing tools, and assisting with general facility upkeep. In a small company, everyone contributes.Primary ResponsibilitiesService &amp; Repair<ul><li>Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems</li><li>Identify required replacement parts</li><li>Install parts and test for proper and safe operation</li><li>Aim to resolve issues on the first visit whenever possible</li><li>Communicate clearly with customers about findings and next steps</li><li>Coordinate parts needs with our Parts Manager</li><li>Keep equipment safely operational when possible if parts are delayed</li></ul>Installation &amp; Delivery<ul><li>Load equipment onto trailers or service vehicles</li><li>Deliver and offload equipment at job sites</li><li>Connect to existing utilities including:</li><li>High pressure steam</li><li>Compressed air</li><li>Natural gas</li><li>Exhaust ducting</li><li>Cold and hot water supply</li><li>Test and verify safe operation after installation</li></ul>Daily Workflow<ul><li>Arrive at 7:30 AM</li><li>Review daily schedule</li><li>Load required tools and parts</li><li>Travel to job sites (within 2-hour radius)</li><li>Communicate arrival times or delays to customers</li></ul>General Duties<ul><li>Maintain a clean shop and organized workspace</li><li>Take out trash and assist with general facility upkeep</li><li>Support team members as needed</li></ul>QualificationsRequired:<ul><li>Clean driving record</li><li>Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience</li><li>Comfortable using power tools and hand tools</li><li>Professional appearance and customer communication skills</li><li>Willingness to travel daily within 2-hour radius</li><li>Ability to lift, load, and move equipment</li></ul>Tools Required (Technician-owned):<ul><li>Power drill</li><li>Spanner wrenches</li><li>Adjustable wrenches</li><li>Screwdrivers</li><li>Hammers</li><li>Socket set</li><li>Nut drivers</li><li>Small sledge hammer</li><li>General hand tools</li></ul>(Company provides major power tools and service vehicle.)Preferred but Not Required:<ul><li>Experience with commercial equipment</li><li>Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, gas piping, or welding</li><li>Experience diagnosing industrial controls</li></ul>Certifications are not required.
