Core Responsibilities1. On-Site Leadership &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Directing Labor: Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of crew members, subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, carpenters), and laborers.</li><li>Scheduling: Creates and manages the daily and weekly work schedules. They ensure that the right trades are on site at the right time to avoid downtime.</li><li>Problem Solving: Acts as the primary troubleshooter for unexpected issues, such as weather delays, material shortages, or unforeseen site conditions (e.g., hitting bedrock while digging).</li></ul>2. Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>OSHA/Regulatory Compliance: Enforces strict adherence to safety protocols (OSHA standards in the US) to prevent accidents. They conduct toolbox talks (safety briefings) and site inspections.</li><li>Legal Compliance: Ensures the project meets all local building codes, permit requirements, and environmental regulations.</li></ul>3. Quality Control<ul><li>Blueprint Interpretation: Reads and interprets architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that subcontractors are building exactly what was specified.</li><li>Inspections: Conducts regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets the project&rsquo;s quality standards. They identify defects or deviations before they become expensive problems.</li></ul>4. Resource Management<ul><li>Materials: Orders materials and ensures that the right quantities of lumber, steel, concrete, etc., arrive on time and are stored securely.</li><li>Equipment: Manages the usage and maintenance of heavy machinery (excavators, cranes) and hand tools.</li></ul>5. Communication &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Liaison: Acts as the middleman between the Project Manager (office) and the workers (field). They report daily progress, costs, and delays to upper management.</li><li>Daily Logs: Keeps detailed records of daily activities, weather conditions, worker hours, and equipment usage. These logs are crucial for billing and legal protection.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; QualificationsHard Skills:<ul><li>Blueprint Reading: Ability to understand complex structural, electrical, and mechanical plans.</li><li>Construction Methods: Deep knowledge of framing, foundations, finishing, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.</li><li>Technology: Proficiency with project management software (Procore, PlanGrid), Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools (MS Project).</li><li>Math: Ability to calculate dimensions, square footage, material quantities, and layout geometry.</li></ul>Soft Skills:<ul><li>Leadership: Must command authority and respect without micromanaging. They motivate crews to hit deadlines.</li><li>Decisiveness: When the architect or project manager isn&rsquo;t on site, the supervisor must make quick, high-stakes decisions.</li><li>Communication: Must convey instructions clearly to workers who may speak different languages or have varying skill levels.</li><li>Conflict Resolution: Manages disputes between trades (e.g., a plumber and a framer arguing over space in a ceiling).</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: QAR60,000.00 - QAR75,000.00 per monthExpected hours: 40 per weekWork Location: In person
