In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments from various sources, ensuring that all transactions are correctly reflected in our electronic health record (EHR) and billing systems. Your expertise will support seamless revenue cycle management, helping us deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining financial integrity. This position offers an engaging environment for motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful impact through precise financial processing.Duties<ul><li>Review and accurately post payments received from insurance companies, patients, and other payers into electronic medical record (EMR) and billing systems</li><li>Reconcile payment discrepancies by investigating denials, adjustments, or underpayments, and communicate with billing or collections teams as needed</li><li>Ensure all payments are coded correctly using appropriate medical coding standards such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications</li><li>Process and update medical records with accurate payment information, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards</li><li>Collaborate with billing and collections departments to resolve outstanding balances or claim issues promptly</li><li>Maintain detailed logs of transactions, adjustments, and correspondence related to payment posting activities</li><li>Stay current with changes in medical coding guidelines and payer policies to ensure accurate processing</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare billing procedures</li><li>Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms</li><li>Experience with medical coding including CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), DRG classification, and understanding of medical billing processes</li><li>Familiarity with medical collection procedures and insurance claim adjudication</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure error-free payment posting</li><li>Ability to interpret complex medical documentation and translate it into accurate financial entries</li><li>Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and resolving payment issues efficiently</li></ul>Embark on a rewarding career where your precision fuels our mission to provide outstanding healthcare services.
