Your enthusiasm for science and dedication to student success will help cultivate a classroom environment where curiosity thrives and learning is fun.Duties<ul><li>Develop and deliver comprehensive science lessons aligned with NC curriculum standards.</li><li>Design and implement hands on activities</li><li>Utilize learning technology tools to create interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.</li><li>Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and class participation; provide timely feedback to support growth.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive learning environment that encourages inquiry and collaboration.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and integrating new scientific research into lessons.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior classroom experience teaching middle school science or related subjects with demonstrated success in engaging students in scientific inquiry.</li><li>Proficiency in using educational technology platforms for lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment purposes.</li><li>Familiarity with classroom management strategies, special education accommodations, and behavior management techniques.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administration; strong proofreading skills for instructional materials.</li></ul>Valid NC Educator's LicensePay: $50,251.91 - $71,071.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
