In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of outdoor tasks, including road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, park upkeep, and utility support. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the well-being of your community while developing valuable skills in public works operations.Highway Department <ul><li>Maintain Borough-owned facilities (Public Works, Borough Hall, Library, Police Station)</li><li>Drive and operate trucks, snowplows, and salt spreaders</li><li>Operate equipment including backhoe, track loader, roller, tractors, etc.</li><li>Operate specialty vehicles including street sweeper and bucket truck</li><li>Roadway and storm sewer repairs and cleaning</li><li>Road sign installation and repairs</li><li>Street line painting and thermoplastic installation</li><li>Operate leaf loader machine during leaf collection</li><li>Clean and maintain vehicles and equipment</li></ul>Sewer Department <ul><li>Check operations of all sewer stations and perform any maintenance or repairs</li><li>Remain on call for any sewer station alarms</li><li>Operation of sewer jetter trailer</li><li>Clean sanitary sewer lines and wet wells</li><li>Cut grass around sewer stations weekly</li><li>Plow and clean snow around sewer stations as needed</li></ul>Parks Department<ul><li>Perform any park maintenance and repairs</li><li>Empty and clean trash receptacles</li><li>Perform landscaping work including mowing, mulching, planting, tree trimming, etc.</li><li>Maintain trails and woods at Paoli Battlefield and Randolph Woods</li><li>Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanup for Borough, and MBPA events</li><li>Maintain islands along East &amp; West King Street</li><li>Install holiday lights on trees and poles along King Street</li></ul>Workflow : All work assigned by Superintendent of Public WorksEquipment Operations: Operates all assigned equipmentAuthority: Makes decisions on job-related problems as they occurReport Preparation: Prepare reports on sewer stations during inspectionsPay: Up to $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>On-the-job training</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Tools provided</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have a clean driving record?</li><li>Do you have a clean criminal history?</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Fire Safety Certification (Preferred)</li><li>CDL B (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
