Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier / Hot Deli Worker to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and managing transactions in a connivence store environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Cashiering, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety. This position offers an opportunity to work in a brand-new convenience store opening this spring, delivering quality service to our valued customers.Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate POS systems for accurate transactions and sales processing</li><li>Prepare and serve hot deli items, ensuring food quality and presentation meet company standards</li><li>Handle cash, and credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations for accurate processing</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their orders, and questions</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the deli and store in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards</li><li>Restock supplies, organize the deli area, and ensure product freshness and availability</li><li>Stock Shelves, coolers and other areas of the store</li><li>Follow all food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience in grocery retail, and food service, is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided</li><li>Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards</li><li>Experience with POS systems is a plus</li><li>Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling, and sales calculations</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light loads as needed</li><li>Ability to obtain a Food Worker Card and MAST permit is required</li><li>Ability to pass a background check</li></ul>This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the customer service industry.
