Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of maintenance and repair skills, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and attention to detail. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and functional environment for all.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry basic repairs (e.g., wall damage, broken windows)</li><li>Conduct repairs on various equipment and fixtures as needed.</li><li>Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment.</li><li>Assist trades with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair work.</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.</li><li>Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.</li><li>Maintain an organized workspace and keep track of inventory for tools and materials.</li><li>Assist in the installation of new equipment or fixtures as required.</li><li>Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and any issues encountered.</li><li>Perform walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimates.</li><li>Paint surfaces and apply stain as needed.</li><li>Coordinate service with customers and handle complaints professionally.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of various maintenance techniques and methods.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.</li><li>Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.</li><li>Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation</li><li>Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge</li><li>Comfortable using hand tools and power tools</li><li>Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements</li><li>Able to sit, stand, kneel, lift, and climb ladders</li><li>Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic</li><li>Can reliably work alone and as part of a team</li><li>Able to communicate well (multiple languages are a plus)</li><li>Able to follow written and verbal instructions</li><li>Friendly with good interpersonal skills</li><li>You will be a 1099 Employee &ndash; You will need contractor insurance</li><li>1-2 Professional References Required</li></ul>Join us while contributing your expertise as a Handy Man.
