Handyman

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of maintenance and repair skills, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and attention to detail. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and functional environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry basic repairs (e.g., wall damage, broken windows)
• Conduct repairs on various equipment and fixtures as needed.
• Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment.
• Assist trades with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain an organized workspace and keep track of inventory for tools and materials.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or fixtures as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and any issues encountered.
• Perform walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimates.
• Paint surfaces and apply stain as needed.
• Coordinate service with customers and handle complaints professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of various maintenance techniques and methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements
• Able to sit, stand, kneel, lift, and climb ladders
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Can reliably work alone and as part of a team
• Able to communicate well (multiple languages are a plus)
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Friendly with good interpersonal skills
• You will be a 1099 Employee – You will need contractor insurance
• 1-2 Professional References Required
