Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our organization&rsquo;s financial health by preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various accounting functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical accounting skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and integrity.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data</li><li>Prepare journal entries, including debits &amp; credits, for various transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)</li><li>Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to verify account accuracy</li><li>Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings to ensure compliance with governmental regulations</li><li>Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review</li><li>Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial tools to record transactions accurately</li><li>Perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly</li><li>Contribute to financial report writing by compiling data for internal reports or external audits</li><li>Maintain meticulous records of journal entries, audit trails, and supporting documentation for all financial activities</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting environments</li><li>Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts</li><li>Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation</li><li>Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and tax experience is a plus</li><li>Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently along with attention to detail in data entry tasks</li><li>Familiarity with payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately</li><li>Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively</li></ul>Join us as we uphold the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in our financial operations.
