Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing essential clerical support. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth functioning of our medical facility.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.</li><li>Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using electronic health record systems such as Athena.</li><li>Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and documentation review.</li><li>Collect patient information and verify insurance details to ensure accurate billing.</li><li>Assist with patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.</li><li>Maintain an organized front desk area to enhance operational efficiency.</li><li>Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow within the facility.</li><li>Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience in a clerical role, preferably in a healthcare setting such as a hospital or medical office.</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly ICD-10 coding.</li><li>Proficient in using electronic health record systems; experience with Athena is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.</li><li>Attention to detail for accurate documentation and data entry.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.</li></ul>We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about providing excellent patient care to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Medical Receptionist.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Albertville, AL 35951 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
