Martz Bus is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to support financial operations across multiple business units. This role works directly with the Corporate Controller and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll operations, and ensuring compliance with tax and reporting requirements.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes ownership of their work, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and wants exposure to multiple areas of accounting in a stable, long-standing company.
What You&rsquo;ll Do
<ul><li>Support payroll processing,ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements</li>
<li>Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts</li>
<li>Process invoices and support accounts payable activities</li>
<li>Prepare and support tax filings, including state sales tax and IFTA reporting</li>
<li>Assist with financial reporting and ensure data accuracy</li>
<li>Investigate discrepancies and resolve vendor or payment issues</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency</li>
<li>Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data across operations</li>
</ul>
What We&rsquo;re Looking For
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, or related field &mdash; or relevant experience</li>
<li>5+ years of accounting experience (payroll, AP, or financial reporting preferred)</li>
<li>Strong Excel and financial systems experience</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and communication skills</li>
</ul>
