Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Lead to serve as the welcoming face of our organization. The Front Desk Lead is responsible for supporting daily front desk operations and ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and organized environment for members and volunteers. This role serves as a key point of coordination between staff and volunteers, provides midday coverage, and supports administrative and programming functions. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential in this fast-paced, community-focused setting.Essential DutiesThe following duties are typical for this position. These are not construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.1. Member Experience <ul><li>Foster a positive, community-oriented environment</li><li>Model professionalism for volunteers and members</li><li>Fill in at the front desk when needed, including greeting members, registering and signing up new members.</li></ul>2. Communication &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Act as the bridge between staff and volunteers.</li><li>Relay important updates, schedule changes, and program information from the staff to the front desk</li><li>Answer daily volunteer questions.</li></ul>3. Programming<ul><li>Handle basic reporting or data entry in Schedules Plus</li><li>Support scheduling coordination and updates</li></ul>4. Problem-Solving / Decision-Making<ul><li>Use sound judgment to resolve issues in real time</li><li>Address concerns, membership issues, and scheduling changes in a professional, calm, and solution-focused manner</li><li>Escalate concerns appropriately when needed</li></ul>5. Volunteer Support<ul><li>Provide guidance, support, and directions to front desk volunteers</li><li>Assist the Front Desk Manager/Volunteer Coordinator with training or onboarding of volunteers (if applicable)</li></ul>6. Safety &amp; Facility Oversight<ul><li>Monitor facility usage to ensure safety and adherence to policies</li><li>Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly</li><li>Flip rooms in the late morning/early afternoon</li><li>Schedule and coordinate the setup and take-down of special events</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree desired. Graduation from high school or equivalent with experience to be considered.</li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in a customer service environment</li><li>Experience with computer systems / CRM tools</li><li>Experience in administrative tasks.</li><li>Experience working with older adults is desired.</li><li>CPR and AED trained</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Ability to work well with people age 50+.</li><li>Ability to perform duties accurately</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to be creative, enthusiastic, and positive in performing duties.</li><li>Ability to prioritize work.</li><li>Strong customer, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Possess good interpersonal skills, be team-oriented, and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, program leaders, participants, and the public.</li><li>Proficient in computer skills in Excel, Word, and Publisher.</li><li>Ability to operate under pressure with frequent interruptions.</li></ul>Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
