Overview In this key role, you will handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and medical and dental record management while providing excellent customer service. This paid position offers a great opportunity to grow your medical administrative skills in a friendly, collaborative workplace.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software.</li><li>Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing</li><li>Schedule appointments accurately while managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette</li><li>Review and update patient records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review procedures</li><li>Assist with insurance verification, intake procedures, and patient inquiries regarding treatment plans and billing</li><li>Maintain organized filing of medical records, dental charts, and office documents both electronically in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech and physically</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, Dental coding and medical billing procedures</li><li>Experience with EMR systems</li><li>Spanish Speaking is a plus</li><li>Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software</li><li>Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in bilingual settings if applicable</li><li>Knowledge of insurance verification processes including Medi-Cal and other third-party payers</li><li>Ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines</li><li>Previous clinic or dental office experience preferred; strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks</li></ul>We&rsquo;re seeking professionals who support excellent patient care through outstanding administrative work.
