They are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join their collaborative finance team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a stable environment where accuracy, organization, and teamwork are highly valued.Position SummaryThe Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations with an emphasis on accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely vendor payments, and assisting with month-end close.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.</li><li>Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments (ACH and wire transfers).</li><li>Reconcile vendor statements and research invoice or payment discrepancies.</li><li>Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking information.</li><li>Assist with expense report processing and corporate credit card reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP..</li><li>Support month-end and year-end close by preparing reconciliations and schedules.</li><li>Assist with annual audit requests by gathering supporting documentation.</li><li>Work closely with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment and accounting questions.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.</li><li>Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.</li></ul>QualificationsRequired<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent accounting experience.</li><li>2-5 years of accounting or accounts payable experience.</li><li>Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).</li><li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Salary: $58,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.</li><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>401(k) with employer contribution and matching program.</li><li>Generous paid time off and company holidays.</li><li>Professional development and continuing education opportunities.</li><li>Collaborative, team-oriented culture with long-term stability.</li></ul>Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Glen Burnie, MD 21062 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
