 About the Role
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 The Operations Manager
 
 is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day execution across shipping, production planning, inventory management, warehouse coordination, and vendor communication. This is a
 
 hands-on, process-driven role
 
 &mdash;perfect for someone who thrives in a small, entrepreneurial environment and wants to have real ownership over operations.
 
 
 
 
 
 You will work closely with our Production &amp; Inventory Lead, warehouse partners, and suppliers to keep orders flowing, inventory accurate, and production running on schedule.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Shipping &amp; Logistics
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Manage all outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel, Amazon, wholesale, e-commerce)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure shipping inquiries are handled quickly and professionally
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain routing guides and ensure compliance
 </li>
 <li>
 Request freight quotes and secure competitive rates
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate and manage BOLs, packing lists, and documentation
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Inbound Freight &amp; Inventory
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Coordinate inbound materials, packaging, and ingredients
 </li>
 <li>
 Track inbound POs and ensure timely arrival
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate inventory levels across production, warehouse, and 3PL
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
 </li>
 <li>
 Update inventory system
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Production Support
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Build and maintain weekly production schedules
 </li>
 <li>
 Forecast material needs and ensure stock for production
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with the Production &amp; Inventory Lead to ensure smooth workflow
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare reports on production progress, yield, and delays
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Vendor, Warehouse &amp; 3PL Coordination
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Serve as primary contact for external warehouses and logistics partners
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage inbound and outbound appointments
 </li>
 <li>
 Resolve warehouse and freight issues proactively
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure clear communication across all vendors
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Process &amp; System Improvements
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Maintain SOPs and drive continuous process improvements
 </li>
 <li>
 Improve warehouse workflows, shipping speed, and inventory accuracy
 </li>
 <li>
 Support cost savings initiatives across freight, production, and materials
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 What We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills &amp; Experience
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 3&ndash;6+ years in operations, supply chain, or logistics (CPG/food preferred)
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience managing shipping, freight, inventory, and warehouse workflows
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication and organizational skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to juggle multiple priorities with accuracy
 </li>
 <li>
 Problem solver with a &ldquo;roll up your sleeves&rdquo; attitude
 </li>
 <li>
 Basic proficiency in Excel/Sheets and inventory systems
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Bonus Points
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience with MRP's, QuickBooks, or similar systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with food manufacturers or co-packers
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience improving operational processes and reporting
 </li>
