Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Occupational Health Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employee well-being across diverse work settings.Duties<ul><li>Conduct initial assessments and triage of employees presenting with work-related injuries or illnesses, utilizing advanced clinical judgment and triage protocols.</li><li>Administer treatments including IV infusions, suturing, medication administration, and wound care following aseptic techniques.</li><li>Perform health screenings, vaccinations, and wellness programs aligned with occupational health policies.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Coordinate with occupational health providers and case managers to facilitate return-to-work plans and manage workers&rsquo; compensation claims in accordance with workers' compensation law.</li><li>Educate employees on injury prevention, ergonomics, chronic disease management, and health coaching strategies tailored to individual needs.</li><li>Monitor and manage workplace safety protocols, including infection control procedures and emergency response plans for trauma or critical care situations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid nursing license with current registration; experience in occupational health preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and laboratory specimen collection/processing.</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation standards.</li><li>Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in geriatrics, memory care, or long-term care environments is highly desirable.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic; proficiency in medical records management is essential.</li><li>Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center exposure is advantageous; familiarity with emergency medicine protocols is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to handle high-pressure situations confidently; CPR/BLS certification required.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA standards, infection control practices, and workplace safety regulations is essential.</li></ul>Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to safeguarding employee health while fostering a culture of wellness!
