We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in workers' compensation law and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. You will assist attorneys in handling a diverse caseload of workers' compensation claims, from initial filing to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate case management and document preparation.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Case Management: Assist attorneys with all aspects of workers' compensation claims, including filing and managing claims, preparing legal documents, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case files.</li><li>Legal Research: Conduct legal research on workers' compensation laws, regulations, and precedents to support case strategies.</li><li>Document Preparation: Draft and prepare workers' compensation petitions, settlement agreements, demand letters, discovery requests, and other legal documents.</li><li>Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress, gather necessary information, and provide case-related support.</li><li>Court Filings: Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts and relevant agencies, including but not limited to workers' compensation boards and commission offices.</li><li>Medical Record Review: Review and summarize medical records, treatment reports, and other relevant documentation to support claims and litigation.</li><li>Settlement Negotiations: Assist attorneys in the settlement process, including preparation of settlement documents, negotiation with opposing parties, and tracking settlement terms.</li><li>Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing evidence, exhibits, and other materials needed for hearings or trials.</li><li>Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws, rules, and regulations at both the state and federal levels.</li><li>Client Support: Provide exceptional client service, addressing questions, concerns, and assisting with any documentation required throughout the process.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution. Specialized training in workers' compensation law preferred.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a paralegal in workers' compensation law, with a thorough understanding of workers' compensation procedures and regulations.</li><li>Skills:</li><li>Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, procedures, and terminology.</li><li>Proficient in legal research, drafting documents, and preparing filings.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.</li><li>Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.</li><li>Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of case files and legal documents.</li><li>Work Ethic: Highly motivated, reliable, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment with competing deadlines.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Full-time, in-office position</li><li>Fast-paced, client-oriented work environment.</li><li>Occasional overtime required based on workload and deadlines.</li></ul>If you're a dedicated, detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Paralegal looking to join a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply.
