Job Summary: Journeyman Electrician (Residential &amp; Small Commercial)We are seeking a reliable, skilled Journeyman Electrician with experience in residential and small commercial electrical systems. This role involves performing installations, repairs, and upgrades of electrical components with a strong focus on safety, code compliance, and quality workmanship.The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently or as part of a team, has a thorough understanding of NEC codes, and takes pride in delivering clean, functional, and long-lasting electrical work.MCG Electric is a small but rapidly growing company, creating significant opportunities for the right individual to grow alongside us and take on a larger role as the business expands.Responsibilities<ul><li>Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, devices, panels, and systems in residential homes and small commercial buildings</li><li>Perform panel upgrades, service changes, and subpanel installations</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and local building codes</li><li>Ensure work meets or exceeds NEC standards and local regulations</li><li>Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, and inspectors in a professional manner</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized job site and complete projects on schedule</li><li>Use testing equipment to verify safe and functional installations</li><li>Mentor apprentices as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Active state-issued Journeyman Electrician License</li><li>3+ years of experience in residential and/or light commercial electrical work</li><li>Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)</li><li>Ability to work from ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and tight locations</li><li>Proficient with power tools, meters, and testing equipment</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills</li></ul>Preferred Traits<ul><li>Experience with solar tie-ins, EV chargers, or smart home wiring</li><li>Self-motivated with a strong work ethic</li><li>Organized and detail-oriented</li><li>Comfortable working in both occupied and new construction environments</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Safety equipment provided</li></ul>Work Location: In person
