Job Summary: Journeyman Electrician (Residential & Small Commercial)

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Journeyman Electrician with experience in residential and small commercial electrical systems. This role involves performing installations, repairs, and upgrades of electrical components with a strong focus on safety, code compliance, and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently or as part of a team, has a thorough understanding of NEC codes, and takes pride in delivering clean, functional, and long-lasting electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, devices, panels, and systems in residential homes and small commercial buildings
• Perform panel upgrades, service changes, and subpanel installations
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and local building codes
• Ensure work meets or exceeds NEC standards and local regulations
• Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, and inspectors in a professional manner
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and complete projects on schedule
• Use testing equipment to verify safe and functional installations
• Mentor apprentices as needed

Qualifications

• Active state-issued Journeyman Electrician License
• 3+ years of experience in residential and/or light commercial electrical work
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to work from ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and tight locations
• Proficient with power tools, meters, and testing equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills

• Experience with solar tie-ins, EV chargers, or smart home wiring
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in both occupied and new construction environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
