Plus, you&rsquo;ll be joining a dynamic team of medical professionals, committed to providing quality patient care.We are hiring a Medical Receptionist to provide front desk reception support to patients for a fast-paced neurosurgery and orthopedic clinic. In this role, you will obtain and enter patient demographics, referrals and registration paperwork required for appointments.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Scan and enter all insurance cards, ID&rsquo;s, prior medical history, registration, HIPAA and FNC forms into EHR.</li><li>Enter patient demographics into EHR.</li><li>Run eligibility daily and obtain referrals for upcoming appointments.</li><li>Assist in registering patients for outreach clinics and entering outreach paperwork.</li><li>Maintain ongoing communications with other departments for efficient clinic operations.</li><li>Maintain appropriate clinic records and scanning to ensure the smooth retrieval of information.</li><li>Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous and helpful manner.</li><li>Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, family members, staff and visitors.</li><li>Ensure the front desk area appears clean and tidy.</li><li>Be flexible on shift hours and travel to other clinics, as needed.</li><li>Perform other duties, as assigned.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, required.</li><li>1 year of experience in a medical receptionist position, preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.</li><li>Experience in a neurosurgery or orthopedics setting, preferred.</li><li>Experience with Intergy or Cerner, preferred.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:<ul><li>Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and provide exemplary customer service to patients.</li><li>Ability to listen effectively, as well as strong communication skills.</li><li>Must demonstrate professionalism at all times.</li><li>Demonstrate strong organizational skills and effectively plan and prioritize work.</li><li>Demonstrate strong judgment and effectively problem-solve.</li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.</li><li>Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.</li><li>Ability to reach with hands and arms to operate office equipment. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Frequent repetitive motions of hands/wrists. May need to occasionally bend, stoop, or reach. Must be able to exert, lift and/or push at least 25lbs on an occasional basis.</li></ul>Please note that previous experience in a similar role or relevant certifications may be preferred but not required.
