FULL TIME PARALEGAL POSITION We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in the City of Fairfax. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in the following practice areas: Civil Litigation, Trust and Estate Litigation, Guardianship Litigation, Criminal Law, Estate Planning and General Business Law. The ideal candidate has a strong background in law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This is not an entry level position. Candidates without any legal experience will not be considered.Duties:Litigation Matters - Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases - Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, estate planning documents, contracts, and briefs, under the guidance of counsel - Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions - Organize and maintain case files and documents - Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings - Assist with document management - Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness - Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and presentations - Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondenceTransactional Matters- Assist with due diligence- Draft and prepare contracts and legal documents under the guidance of counsel- Coordinate with clients and other parties to gather necessary documents for transactional mattersSkills: - Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Clio or similar practice management and billing system. - Familiarity with litigation procedures and court rules - Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills - Strong organizational skills- Spanish speaking preferred- Notary a plus- Position is full time in person with some opportunity for remote work after three months.If you are a motivated individual with a passion for the law and a desire to contribute to a dynamic legal team, we encourage you to apply.
