This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical proficiency and analytical mindset in a flexible, remote environment that values proactive problem-solving and continuous learning.&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for diverse client profiles, ensuring compliance with current regulations and laws.</li><li>Conduct detailed tax planning and consulting sessions to identify opportunities for deductions, credits, and strategic financial moves.</li><li>Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support accurate tax reporting and financial analysis.</li><li>Assist clients with estate planning strategies involving wills, trusts, and estate law to optimize wealth transfer and minimize tax liabilities.</li><li>Reconcile accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms to ensure precise financial recordkeeping.</li><li>Perform audits and internal reviews related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.</li><li>Support mergers &amp; acquisitions by conducting due diligence reviews and financial analysis related to corporate restructuring or asset management.</li><li>Provide guidance on GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), technical accounting standards, and financial concepts relevant to client needs.</li><li>Facilitate non-profit accounting tasks including fund accounting, grant management, and compliance reporting.</li><li>Collaborate with clients on budgeting, financial planning, asset management, and investment strategies to enhance their financial health.</li></ul>&lt;Skills&gt;<ul><li>Extensive knowledge of tax experience across various industries with a focus on estate planning, securities law, public accounting, and corporate accounting.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools for bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and regulatory reporting.</li><li>Expertise in financial analysis techniques including account reconciliation, analysis skills, financial report writing &amp; interpretation.</li><li>Familiarity with SOX compliance procedures along with auditing practices for internal controls assessment.</li><li>Ability to handle complex financial concepts related to mergers &amp; acquisitions, private equity investments, asset management &amp; financial planning.</li><li>Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for account analysis and reconciliation tasks.</li><li>Effective communication skills for translating technical accounting data into clear reports for clients or stakeholders.</li><li>Knowledge of payroll processing and accounts payable procedures within a financial services context.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a remote setting.
