Our practice is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic in Castroville, TX just 6 miles west of San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills as well as a desire to work collaboratively with our Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners and be part of a team-oriented medical practice.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Rooms patients according to the specifications of the clinic and provider</li><li>Prepares charts for clinical patients</li><li>Performs in-take of all required patient vital signs, relevant medical history, and clinical information with proper documentation</li><li>Assists with sending prescriptions</li><li>Enters all required information into the EMR system</li><li>Performs EKG's when needed</li><li>Answer transferred phone calls and assist the MedCare call center in providing support for patient requests</li><li>Cleans and stocks assigned exam rooms</li><li>Adheres to proper standard precautions when required in the clinical setting</li><li>Work with team members to provide top notch medical care to our patients</li><li>Additional duties as requested according to practice needs</li><li>May be asked to travel to another MedCare clinic when short-staffed</li><li>New Medical Assistant graduates are encouraged to apply</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Free parking</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Medical Assistant : 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Certified Medical Assistant (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
